Father, thank you for giving your word to us. It is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Help us to meditate on your word so that we may be able to discern between what is right and what is wrong. I pray that we would be governed by your spirit. You have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and soundness of mind.
We repent for the times that we have had more faith in what the media has said to us than placing our faith in you and acting on your promises. No matter what we may see or hear in the media, may God’s peace pass all our understanding. May we not blame the media, but rather turn to you when we see things we are upset with. Help us to keep our hearts and minds fixed on Christ Jesus and his soon return. Equip us and make us strong for your glory and for your work.
May your kingdom come, and may your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
