Hon. Devin Dreeshen, Innisfail-Sylvan Lake

Dear Lord, we thank you that you put the right people in the right places in our government.  Lord, you have prepared Devin for this position as Minister of Forestry and Agriculture through his extensive experience in the farming industry as well as his governmental experience as policy advisor to the federal Minister of Agriculture. Holy Spirit lead him and guide with your wisdom to navigate through these difficult times and give him divine strategies to bring about effective recovery in these vital industries. Bless him and watch over him and the people of Innisfail and Sylvan Lake whom he represents in our government.  In your powerful name,  Amen.

Devin Dreeshen was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in a by-election on July 12, 2018 as the MLA for Innisfail-Sylvan Lake. He was re-elected in 2019. Dreeshen is a fifth-generation local farm owner and Albertan. Farming near Pine Lake, he has a long record of community service. He is a director of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association, serves as a board member on the Crossroads Agricultural Society, and as a volunteer at the Pine Lake Country Fair. Devin was appointed as Alberta’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. His previous experience includes working on this file during his time in Ottawa where he was a policy advisor to Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz from 2008 to 2015.
