Heavenly Father, today we pray for the Honourable Jason Nixon, MLA for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre and President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance. Thank You for the varied experiences that have shaped his leadership. Before elected office, Jason was an entrepreneur, but he also spent several years with The Mustard Seed, including serving as an executive director and running an addiction treatment facility. Thank You for the firsthand experience this gave him with people facing poverty, addiction, and difficult circumstances. As Jason now deals with Alberta’s finances, budgets, and competing priorities, help him remember the individual lives represented by financial decisions. Give him wisdom, discipline, and long-term perspective. Help him represent the rural families, producers, businesses, and communities throughout his large constituency. Surround him with honest advisers. Bless Jason, his wife, Tiffany, and their family with health, strength, and peace. May he steward his responsibilities with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. The Honourable Jason Nixon was re-elected as the MLA for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre in 2023 and currently serves as Minister of Finance and President of the Treasury Board. He previously served as Government House Leader and as Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services and Minister of Environment and Parks. Before entering politics, Jason spent 25 years involved with The Mustard Seed, including serving as executive director. His experience also includes management, health and safety consulting, and the oil and gas industry. He holds a diploma in business administration management from SAIT and lives west of Sundre with his wife, Tiffany, and their three children.
