Hon. Nathan Cooper, Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills

Lord Jesus, I bring Mr. Nathan Cooper to you in prayer. Thank you so much father, for Nathan and for equipping him for a life of service in the province of Alberta and specifically the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills areas. I pray that you would grant Nathan favour when dealing with other leaders in his community, province and country. Bless him with patience, wisdom and a close personal relationship with you. Let your will be done in his life and let your will be done through him in the province of Alberta. Keep Nathan and his family safe and healthy this year. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Nathan Cooper was elected in 2015 and again in 2019. On May 21, 2019, he was elected by his fellow MLAs to serve as the 14th Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. He also serves as the chair of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services. Prior to serving as MLA, Mr. Cooper held a number of positions but most recently was chief of staff and director of legislative affairs for the Wildrose caucus. Previous to this, he served two terms as councillor for the town of Carstairs. Having been involved in the 4-H program from a young age, Mr. Cooper continues to support 4-H as a volunteer judge. Mr. Cooper also had the privilege of being a Rotary Club exchange student in 1998 and still continues to support the Rotary Club today.
