Heavenly father, we thank you today for the Honourable Ric McIver. Thank you for his service, and his love of his community. Help him to lead well with wisdom, strength, and understanding. Bless him and his family as he does this work, may they all know your peace and presence. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Ric McIver was first elected in 2012 as the MLA for Calgary-Hays. He was re-elected on May 5, 2015, and again on April 16, 2019. He also serves as Minister of Municipal Affairs. He is a husband and father and has served three terms on Calgary’s City Council. He served on the Police Commission and as chair of the Calgary Housing Company while on Council and is a 12-year volunteer with the Calgary Stampede and supports a variety of charitable causes.
