Today, Heavenly Father, we pray for our newly elected premier Hon. Wab Kinew. Lord, we know you love and cherish our premier. May he be receptive to your healing, your provision, your protection, and your daily portion of generous gifts of grace. We ask for your presence to hem him in with peace and life-giving inspiration. Guide his steps for the sake of our people and province. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Wab Kinew is the Leader of the Manitoba New Democratic Party and was elected as the Premier of Manitoba in 2023. Before entering politics, he was a musician, broadcaster and university administrator, best known as a host of programming on CBC Radio an CBC Television. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg Collegiate and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Manitoba. Kinew is married to Lisa, a family physician who practices medicine at an inner-city clinic, and has two sons from a previous relationship.
