MLA Amanda Lathlin, The Pas-Kameesak

Thank You for Amanda Lathlin, MLA for The Pas-Kameesak. Lord, we thank You for her passion and advocacy for the First Nations women of the northern part of Manitoba. We thank You that she has been given this platform to speak for her constituents. We ask that You would continue to lead her and guide her and grant her great wisdom as she serves the people of her constituency and the province of Manitoba. Bless her and her family and grant them safety and good health.  We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Amanda was elected MLA for The Pas constituency in 2015, she was re-elected in 2016 and 2019. Amanda previously worked as a Representative Workforce Coordinator at the University College of the North (UCN) and was directly involved in creating the kind of educational and career opportunities in northern communities that help families thrive. Amanda Lathlin was the first First Nations woman to be elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly when she became the MLA for The Pas in 2015. Amanda is a mother, a lifelong northerner, a former band councillor and an active volunteer. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Native Studies and Political Studies from the University of Manitoba, and is a firm believer in the power of education to enrich and uplift the lives of northerners.
