MLA Colleen Young, Lloydminster

Heavenly Father, you have called and chosen MLA Colleen Young to leadership and we thank you for that and for her. We pray that you would empower and guide her. May she be encouraged by her relationships, and help her not to be isolated, but have connections that bless her life. We thank you for her family, and we ask that they would all know your closeness and be taken care of in every way. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Colleen was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a November 13, 2014 by-election for the constituency of Lloydminster. She was re-elected in the 2016 and 2020 provincial elections. Colleen was born and raised on a family farm east of Saskatoon and has called the Lloydminster riding home for the last 33 years. Colleen attended the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan beginning in 1979 and has been active in education ever since. Colleen was a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education for 20 years and served as the board chair for 16 of those years. Colleen is very active in the Lloydminster community and she and her husband, Kim, have one daughter and seven sons.
