MLA: Gary Holman – Saanich North and the Islands (Demo)

Heavenly Father, we enter into Your presence on behalf of MLA: Gary Holman. Gary has given himself to many, many hours of public service on the municipal level and now on the provincial stage. He needs Your guidance and blessings as he undertakes this new and enlarged challenge. May You help his focus to be sharpened as he navigates the labyrinth of provincial politics. Keep him and his family safe, secure and joyful as they face the New Year together with all its uncertainties, possibilities and triumphs. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Gary Holman was elected as the MLA for Saanich North and the Islands in May 2013.

Gary serves as Opposition Critic for Democratic Reform and as Deputy Critic for Environment and for BC Ferries.

Gary was a consulting economist for over 25 years working on projects such as the Nisga’a Treaty and a Protected Areas Strategy for BC.

Gary served as Salt Spring Island’s Capital Regional District Director for six years, helping to establish the island’s first public transit system. He has been involved in the land trust movement in B.C for many years and has worked to establish coalitions between environmental groups to conserve Salt Spring’s drinking water and to protect thousands of acres of green space.

Gary lives on Salt Spring Island, has two daughters, Erin and Amber, and a stepson Owen.
