MLA: Gary Holman – Saanich North and the Islands (Demo)

Father, we bring to You today Gary Holman, MLA for Saanich North and The Islands and Opposition Spokesperson for Democratic Reform, Deputy Environment, Fisheries and B.C. Ferries.  We thank you for the unique skills and life experiences that MLA Holman brings to our government. We pray that you would place him in the right place at the right time to make the best use of his skill set.  We pray he would not be overlooked, but would come into a place of greatest use at the opportune time.  We ask you to guide him and strengthen him for all that liesahead.  Bless him and his family with good health.  We ask this inJesus’ name.

Gary Holman was elected as the MLA for Saanich North and the Islands in May 2013.

Gary serves as Opposition Spokesperson for Democratic Reform, Deputy Environment, Fisheries and B.C. Ferries.

Gary was a consulting economist for over 25 years working on projects such as the Nisga’a Treaty and a Protected Areas Strategy for BC.

Gary served as Salt Spring Island’s Capital Regional District Director for six years, helping to establish the island’s first public transit system. He has been involved in the land trust movement in B.C for many years and has worked to establish coalitions between environmental groups to conserve Salt Spring’s drinking water and to protect thousands of acres of green space.

Gary lives on Salt Spring Island, has two daughters, Erin and Amber, and a stepson Owen.
