MLA: Hon. Andrew Wilkinson – Vancouver-Quilchena – Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services (Demo)

Father, thank You for our leaders and all the sacrifice they make in serving our beautiful province. Bless MLA:  Honarable Andrew Wilkinson today and thank You for everything he does to serve his riding and British Columbia. We also pray that You would be near this family and keep them in close and healthy relationship even when they are apart from each other. We pray all this in Your Holy Name. Amen.

Andrew Wilkinson was elected MLA for the riding of Vancouver-Quilchena on May 14, 2013, and was appointed Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services on June 10, 2013. He is currently serving on the Legislative Review Committee and the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow.

Andrew is a former deputy minister of the British Columbia Ministry of Economic Development, where he was responsible for economic issues, trade and tourism. He has also served as deputy minister for Intergovernmental Relations in the Premier’s Office, president of the BC Civil Liberties Association, president of the BC Mountaineering Club and president of the BC Liberal Party.

Andrew worked as a lawyer in the Vancouver offices of a major, national law firm, where he had a special interest in green renewable energy development. Prior to being called to the bar, he was educated and licensed as a physician.

He is married and has three children.
