MLA: Hon. John Rustad – Nechako Lakes – Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation (Demo)

Lord, we ask Your blessings on MLA: Honourable John Rustad, Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation. We pray that You will give him strategies, relationships and insights into how to best interact with and meet the needs of our First Nations’ people in our province in order to make British Columbia a better place for all. Keep him, his family and those close to him safe and in good health. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

John Rustad was re-elected to represent the riding of Nechako Lakes on May 14, 2013, and was appointed Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation on June 10, 2013.

He was first elected in 2005, and previously served as Parliamentary Secretary for Forestry to the Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations. He has also served as a member of the Environment and Land Use Committee, the Legislative Review Committee, Treasury Board, and many parliamentary committees including the Select Standing Committees on Education; Public Accounts; and, Health.

John was born and raised in Prince George and has lived all of his life in northern B.C. He grew up enjoying fishing and hunting. In 2009, he and his wife Kim moved to Cluculz Lake where they enjoy the peace and beauty of rural living.
