MLA Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk, Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville

Lord I bring Hon. Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk to you in prayer. Thank you so much for Jackie and for her service in Alberta and the Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville communities. Thank you for helping Jackie to rise up to fill this role and for equipping her with the necessary skills and talents to do so. I pray that Jackie would feel your presence and lean on you daily, for direction and strength. Bless her with health, wisdom and peace for what the next steps are to better her community and to refine the Ukrainian refugee resettlement process. Help her to discern what needs to be done and to carry that out. I pray these things in your precious name, amen.

Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk was elected in 2019. Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, she owned and operated a small business in Vegreville for close to 35 years. From 1981 to 1984 she worked with a private insurance adjustment firm. She has been an avid volunteer and active member of the Vegreville business community. Between 2017 and 2019 she served as secretary of the Vegreville Rotary Club and as the liaison to the economic development director with the Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce. From 2016 to 2019 she was a member of the Vegreville Economic Development Board. She served as secretary of an electoral district association from January 2016 to February 2019, when she was voted president. She studied at the University of Calgary and also at MacEwan University. She holds a journeyman certificate for beautician/hairstylist and a diploma in insurance adjustment. She and her husband have two children.
