MLA: Jackie Tegart – Fraser-Nicola (Demo)

Our praise and thanksgiving go out to You today, for citizens like MLA Jackie Tegart who are willing to step into the role of a legislator. May she look to You for help, guidance and wise discernment in the tasks and many challenges she faces daily. May her family be blessed with Your loving  care in all things. In Jesus dear name. Jackie Tegart was elected as MLA for Fraser-Nicola on May 14, 2013.

She currently serves as a member of the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow, and the Environment and Land Use Committee.

Prior to being elected as MLA, Jackie served three terms on Ashcroft council. She was a school board member for 17 years, serving as chair for 15 of those years. She is also a former President of the BC School Trustees Association.

Jackie was the facilitator for BC Healthy Communities’ Interior Region, the coordinator for Community Futures, which plays a significant role in entrepreneurial and community development, and was a partner in Painted Ladies Gallery and Gifts.

Jackie was born in Princeton and has lived in Ashcroft for 50 years. She has four children with her late husband, and nine grandchildren.
