Father we lift up Jackie Tegart, member for Fraser-Nicola. We ask that would infuse her with wisdom, compassion and strength as she represents her constituents and region. We pray she would see success in all her area’s of responsibility including the Environment and Land Use Committee she serves on. Father, we ask for divine wisdom for this committee that helps steward our land. Continue to demonstrate your goodness in her and through her in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jackie Tegart was elected as MLA for Fraser-Nicola on May 14, 2013.
She currently serves as a member of the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow, and the Environment and Land Use Committee.
Prior to being elected as MLA, Jackie served three terms on Ashcroft council. She was a school board member for 17 years, serving as chair for 15 of those years. She is also a former President of the BC School Trustees Association.
Jackie was the facilitator for BC Healthy Communities’ Interior Region, the coordinator for Community Futures, which plays a significant role in entrepreneurial and community development, and was a partner in Painted Ladies Gallery and Gifts.
Jackie was born in Princeton and has lived in Ashcroft for 50 years. She has four children with her late husband, and nine grandchildren.
