MLA Janet Routledge, Burnaby North (Demo)

We pause to pray today, Lord, for Janet Routledge as our new MLA for Burnaby-North. Equip her, Lord, to use her experience in local community service and non-profit organizations to serve effectively as a new member of our provincial legislature. May she be given the grace to serve with integrity not only the citizens of her local riding, but also contribute to supporting needs and addressing challenges within this province, in whatever capacity she is called to serve.  For such a time as this, Lord, allow her to be utilized in ways that she can bring her passions for public service and for fighting for women’s rights to help all citizens of British Columbia. Bless Janet, her husband, Bill, as they all adjust to the new rhythm of life and demands of travel and her serving in political office in Victoria. Bless her richly, and equip her to be a blessing to those she has been called to serve. We thank you, Lord, for her willingness to serve and to be used by you to support and help others.  Amen……………………

Janet Routledge was elected as the MLA for Burnaby North in 2017.  She serves as the Government Caucus Deputy Whip. She has been involved in many non-profits, including CoDevelopment Canada, which provides financial aid to workers’ organizations in Latin America, and Toxic Free Canada, an organization instrumental in helping workers and environmentalists work together.
