MLA: Linda Larson – Boundary-Similkameen (Demo)

We give you praise Lord for your divine leadership and intervention in our province, and we offer our praise to you for Boundary-Similkameen MLA: Linda Larson in her multi-faceted service to our province and her community. You know her commitments and areas of responsibility, and we seek your protection and innovation in all areas for which she cares. Linda Larson was elected MLA for Boundary-Similkameen on May 14, 2013.

Linda is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation for Accessibility, a member of the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow, Chair of the Select Standing Committee on Health and a member of the Select Standing Committee on Legislative Initiatives.

Previous to being elected as an MLA, Linda sat on the Oliver Council and served as Mayor from 1997 to 2005.

Growing up in Comox, Linda moved to Oliver in 1989 with her husband Larry. She owned three businesses in Oliver between 1989 and 2002 (Eastside Grocery, Stedmans V/S and Ruffled Edges) and served on the BC Small Business Roundtable between 2005 and 2011.

Linda is the past chair of the Provincial Board at Community Futures representing the South Okanagan, and has sat on the boards of Junior Achievement of British Columbia (JABC) (2006-2011) and the Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre (2004-2008).

She has also volunteered with provincial, regional and local organizations such as the Sunnybank Ladies Auxiliary and W.O.W. (former Soroptimist Club of Oliver).

Linda and her husband Larry have three daughters and four grandchildren.
