Father, we bring before You Marvin Hunt, MLA for Surrey-Panorama. We recognize Your sovereignty over all the matters of governance in our province and thank You for giving a seat in our Legislature to MLA Hunt at this time. Lord, You know the plans You have for MLA Hunt and the purpose for which You have established him and we ask that You would draw him to You and cause him to fulfill those plans and purposes. We pray that You would help him to tackle his workload with efficiency, unyielding commitment, and boundless energy and may he be blessed with frequent times of refreshing to keep his spirit lifted. We ask that Your hand would be upon his family with the blessing of good health and in keeping them a happy, cohesive unit. We ask this in Jesus’ name.
Marvin Hunt was elected MLA for Surrey-Panorama on May 14, 2013. He also serves on the Cabinet Committee for Secure Tomorrow.
Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Marvin was first elected to Surrey City Council in 1988.
Marvin is also a member of the Board at Metro Vancouver.
Marvin has served in many roles, including the Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Waste Management Committee and Metro Vancouver’s Water Committee. Marvin also initiated the development of the Sustainable Region Initiative in 2002. Marvin has devoted countless hours to charitable and non-profit organizations in a wide variety of endeavors.
Marvin and his wife Ruth are long time Surrey residents and share six children.
