Heavenly Father, today we pray for Naheed Nenshi, MLA for Edmonton-Strathcona and Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition. Thank You for the leadership experience he gained during three terms as Mayor of Calgary. Naheed’s years as mayor included extraordinary circumstances. He led Calgary through four states of emergency, including the devastating 2013 floods and the COVID-19 pandemic. May the lessons learned from leading people through uncertainty continue to give him perspective. As Leader of the Official Opposition, give Naheed wisdom to examine government decisions carefully while contributing constructively to Alberta’s future. Give him disciplined speech, sound judgment, and respectful relationships with those whose views differ from his own. Help him develop deep connections with the people of Edmonton-Strathcona while carrying responsibilities across Alberta. Surround him with honest advisers, and give him physical strength, mental clarity, and genuine rest. May his years of leadership experience be used to strengthen public service and benefit Albertans. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
