MLA Peter Milobar, Kamloops – North Thompson (Demo)

Lord, we pause to pray today for Peter Milobar, as he has chosen to consider public service, and to give of his time and talents to serve as the new MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson. We pray that you would grant him insight and discernment as he considers the best way to serve not only the constituents of his local riding, but also as a conscientious member of the opposition this year. We pray that Peter can draw upon his experience as a long-term mayor of Kamloops to serve effectively and with integrity now within our provincial legislature. Bless Peter and his wife as they continue to run their own business, while he seeks to balance this with the challenges of his important new role in our legislature as the official opposition critic for environment and climate change. Bless Peter and his wife, Lianne, and their three grown children in this coming year as he takes on this new challenge and opportunity in his life. Watch over Peter, and grant him safety in his frequent travels to Victoria throughout this coming year. We pray this all in Jesus’ name…..Amen…………………..

Peter was elected MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson in May 2017. Before entering provincial politics, Peter was mayor of Kamloops for three terms, after previously serving two as councillor. He served as chair of the Thompson Regional Hospital District for five terms, and was a director for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District since 2005.  Peter has also worked on the BC Transit Board of Directors, at PRIMECorp, and on the Local Government Contract Management Committee.
