Father God, we uplift unto you the leadership of Ryan Meili. Thank you, Lord, for the wisdom and ability you’ve given as he sits as Leader of the Opposition. Lord, we submit to you all his thoughts and mind in leading his constituents, and as a Doctor in a professional role in this time, as he imparts all knowledge and understanding needed to enhance our province during these pandemic crises. May his love for service work hand and hand with all leaders to combat all uncertainties of these days. Every second, Lord, we pray for his life, safety, and unending support as he helps in building the economy and boosting Saskatchewan. May our Lord God’s blessings and salvation be upon his family. Ryan Meili is the leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party. He grew up on a farm outside Courval, 45 miles southwest of Moose Jaw. Ryan was elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature as the MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin in a by-election on March 2, 2017 and elected again in 2020. Prior to his election Ryan was a family doctor and community builder working in Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods. He wrote a book, A Healthy Society: How a focus on health can revive Canadian democracy, which charts a course for democratic renewal in Canadian politics.
