MLA: Simon Gibson – Abbotsford-Mission (Demo)

Father, thank You for MLA: Simon Gibson and his dedication to better our province. We pray You will encourage and refresh him as he works in his constituency. Use him in his role on the Treasury Board, in Public Accounts and in the cabinet committee that he is on. May he have Your wisdom as he contributes ideas and solutions in the legislature. We pray for renewed vision in the new year and that he will have a joyous and peaceful holiday season. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Simon Gibson was elected MLA for Abbotsford-Mission on May 14, 2013. He is a member of the Treasury Board.

Simon has been a resident of the Fraser Valley since 1976 and has lived in the Abbotsford-Mission riding for over 12 years.

Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Simon served on Abbotsford Council for three decades and has been active in numerous boards and committees throughout the valley, including the Fraser Valley Regional District Board, Fraser Valley Regional Library Board and the Abbotsford-Mission Transit Committee.

In addition to serving on Abbotsford Council, Simon also taught in the School of Business at the University of the Fraser Valley specializing in Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship and Marketing. His previous teaching positions include Trinity Western University and Douglas College, and led workshops for The BC Police Academy (Justice Institute) and Western Washington University.

Simon writes a syndicated column, Office Politics 101, which appears in 25 BC newspapers.

Simon is married to Joy and they have two adult daughters and two grandsons.
