MPP Stan Cho, Willowdale

Heavenly Father thank You for placing and using MPP Stan Cho in Ontario leadership for the first time.

Thank You for the joy that comes from working hard for a worthy purpose.

Thank You for his values of hard work and service.  May You enable him to lead, direct and connect with how to best serve his community.

Lord give him abundant wisdom and discernment.  Surround him with supportive peers that have an ear to the ground and will provide wise council as he connects with his community and builds strong and healthy relationships.

Your Word says “You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”  May Stan find increased joy and strength in You, according to Your word.  Amen.

Stan Cho is a second-generation Korean-Canadian who is proud to call Willowdale home. Born and raised in Toronto, his story is a familiar one to lots of Canadians. His dad immigrated to Toronto from South Korea without knowing the language or culture, but he understood something essential about this place: as long as you’re not afraid of hard work there are opportunities here for everyone. He started working at a Beck’s convenience store, that was his first real job. He worked long hours in order to bring Stan’s mom and grandparents to Canada.

After graduating from the University of Toronto, he started out in an entry-level position at Mercedes Benz Credit and worked my way up to become one of their auditors. There, he got the chance to travel all over Ontario, from my Toronto to Kapuskasing, and saw firsthand what makes all of our communities, both big and small, so strong and so distinct. Stan decided to get into politics because he believes we need to protect the legacy our parents worked so hard to leave behind for us — the idea that Canada is a place where there will always be opportunities for hardworking people to make their lives and the lives of their children better.
