Holy Spirit, today we pray for the HealthCare workers in our nation. We ask for a refreshing wind to come over everyone who works in HealthCare: doctors, nurses, lab techs, cleaning staff, and many more. We ask that you would permit our healthcare workers to discover a vaccination for the Covid-19 virus just as you permitted Frederick Banting and his colleagues to discover insulin.
We ask for extra strength and support, clear thinking, and protection for the workers from the virus, and most of all that they turn to You, Holy Spirit for your wisdom, insight, peace, and strength. May they experience Your voice guiding them as mentioned in Isaiah 30:21 of the Holy Bible, ‘Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.’
We pray that you would bless and protect their families as they, the workers, are serving our fellow citizens more than ever, and especially those on the front lines during this pandemic. We ask for wisdom for our National Health Minister, The Honourable Patty Hajdu and Theresa Tam, our National Public Health Officer, that they they would encounter you the Doctor of all Doctors and be filled with great wisdom and surrounded by your servants to bring your insight.
We also ask for forgiveness for any sins committed and that a shift in our health care system would start to happen, as we depend first and foremost on you, for the health of our nation. May the leaders, workers and system experience a rejuvenation by you so that love, compassion and care is done in a way that honours you.
May you be merciful today and would you declare over our nation the words you told the prophet Jeremiah ‘Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them, and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.'( Jer.33:6) May the work of your healing power be more evident than ever and may peace and truth reign in our healthcare system. May we hear stories of your divine intervention as we pray.
